eJournal and eBook Remote Access for ICTP Users

On-site ICTP users connected to the ICTP Campus Network have full access to licensed library catalogue resources. However, remote users wishing to view and download certain papers and eBooks need either a VPN (virtual private network) or to remotely access content using their ICTP credentials.

 

How do I remotely access journal articles and eBooks?

Once you have identified the paywalled resource you wish to download, look for one of the following phrases:

    1. Access through your institution
    2. Access via your Institution
    3. Find my institution
    4. Institutional Login

Authenticate to access the content:


 

Can I access every journal/eBook in this way?

Not every provider allows this type of remote access, and for this reason, VPN is preferable. Speak to your programme office on how to obtain VPN access to the ICTP Network.
