InvariantMath: A Home for Shared Mathematical Culture

Published on March 5, 2026

SHARING AN UPDATE FROM INVARIANTMATH:

Dear friend,

I am pleased to introduce InvariantMath.com, a platform built from one simple conviction:

Mathematics should not live only in classrooms, exams, or isolated papers.
It should also live as a shared culture.

InvariantMath was created as a digital home for that culture, where careful learning, discussion, and collaboration can grow over time.

If you visit the Careers section today, you’ll find information on a fully funded programme by the ICTP in Italy, a UNESCO Category 1 institute where I completed my postgraduate diploma in Mathematics last year. The deadline is in less than two weeks. You will also find a direct link to the programme on the Careers page.

Why “InvariantMath”?

In mathematics, an invariant is something that remains unchanged under transformation.

That idea also reflects a personal commitment: circumstances change, pressures come and go, but some principles should remain fixed.

The symbol and identity behind InvariantMath carry that spirit of continuity, balance, and shared purpose between the team and the community.

A personal note behind the inscription

Beneath the logo appears a phrase in Serbian Cyrillic, from a Slovenian expression: “Drug za drugega” (“one for another,” “a friend for a friend,” or broadly, “a comrade for a comrade”).

I chose it in honour of my Serbian friends, mathematics students and programmers, who welcomed me with extraordinary generosity near the end of 2025. I first encountered the phrase as graffiti on a hostel wall in Slovenia during a summer school, and it stayed with me. Including it here felt like the most honest way to honor that friendship and the spirit behind this project.

What InvariantMath offers

InvariantMath is designed as a working platform for students and learners, including:

  • Events and announcements

  • Careers and pathways
  • Problem-solving spaces
  • Lecture library
  • Course discussions (with LaTeX support)
  • Computation and experimentation tools

What comes next

InvariantMath is a living mathematical space, built to evolve with every idea, question, and contribution.

This is only the beginning. A new real-time, end-to-end encrypted chat system is on the way, designed for focused communication, mathematical conversation, and collaboration. The release is planned for the second week of March.

Have you ever tried to discuss mathematics in a chat that only allows plain text, where formulas lose their meaning and clarity? Imagine a WhatsApp-like chat built directly into the website, where you can type LaTeX and communicate mathematics naturally and smoothly. Coming soon.

The vision

To bring mathematics students across the world into one shared digital space for learning, collaboration, and disciplined work.

Create your account now to start sharing problems and solutions, access our resources, and be ready for chat access as soon as it launches in the coming days. If you’d like to strengthen the culture of mathematics in our time, share InvariantMath with friends, classmates, and anyone who cares about mathematics. Every new mind strengthens the community.
